My son had a crown after losing a tooth and he rated the dentist so I specifically asked for the same guy when I lost a filling. My initial consultation was ok... He said that it would be easier to take the tooth out but if I don't want to lose it, I need a crown. So I opted for a crown, I pay for my treatment. I explained that I am really nervous about dental pain c/o a horrendous butcher dentist experience... Crown prep day came. Dentist guy barely acknowledged me. Said I need an x-ray now, then turned his back and spoke utter jargon, muttered that it would be easier to remove it but if I want a crown mutter, huff , puff, before brandishing a massive needle. I felt confused and a bit panicked, asked him to stop and explain what was going on. He muttered more jargon about root canal obliteration and vaguely pointed at my x-ray. I still had no idea. I asked if he had heard of a now retired well known pleasant Hull dentist who had amazing people skills and dental practice. The guy looked at me with contempt and said 'it comes with relations' and I said 'you're absolutely right, I will find a dentist that has relationship building skills' and I left. Not a nice experience at all. Support staff - all very nice it has to be said.
