I was in immense pain after having my wisdom tooth out the week earlier and as it was a Sunday I called the NHS111 helpline and was relieved to get an appointment relatively quickly. When I arrived the dentist was already having a disagreement with the patient before me. They called me in on time and started the treatment. Their tone was the most patronising and condescending I have ever witnessed from a healthcare provider in all my life. They clearly did not want to be there and was only interested in sticking an injection in me as quick as possible and getting me out of the chair. Their level of professionalism was disgraceful and if I was not in pain I would not have tolerated their tone or manner. I would really advise the NHS to vet the practise and staff before they give out these contracts because this dentist’s behaviour was disgusting and they had no intention of treating patients in a respectful manner. God forbid but If I was in this situation again I would never go to this practise and would never recommend this practise to anyone. Dentist like this give the profession a bad name and I am disgusted that my tax pounds go to pay their salary.
