The 1 star is for the Receptionists who were relatively friendly and helpful. It's just a pity the NHS Dentist we seen wasn't. He did not have the decency to introduce himself, nor did the Dental Nurse for that matter. He was not friendly at all, not very engaging and his attention to detail (regarding my dental issues and future treatment) was extremely poor - I got mixed messages when I asked him for his professional opinion and options on what Treatment I should have or may need in the future. I got the distinct impression the Dentist) did not want to do any further work (on my plate / crowns) as he referred me back to my previous Dentist in Harrogate (where I don't go anymore, which I informed him of). I quote; "You can go back to your Dentist in Harrogate, if you want a 'clip on Plate/denture". He also failed to pick up on a fracture of my bottom tooth (non crown) - again I had to point this out to him and ask for his opinion as to what to do. Again, I felt he did not want to carry out any further treatment, as he said; "just leave it". Overall, I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with the advice I received from him. Both me and my friend found this Dentist to be the most unprofessional, unfriendly and disrespectful Dentist we have ever seen. Very poor Customer Care and people Skills. Overall, the Service Delivery was extremely poor (Dentist). Various apologies received, but NOT good enough - this clearly is an acknowledgment of their failings. However, no Senior Management Staff have found the time to contact us direct to ask us what exactly the issues were and why we had such a negative experience?? The expectation is on the Patients to do all the running. This is a very poor procedural practice, particularly in light of an official complaint. We were informed an investigation would be carried out (taking up to 20 days to complete), how can an investigation be carried out, if facts have not been established (from the Patients), by Senior Management?? So, in a nutshell, We would never recommend this Dentist to family or friends and would never go back to this Dentist. We have now registered with another Dental Practice who can met all our dental needs and expectations, are more helpful, friendly, engaging and who are clearly more professional.
