I had a crown come loose and booked an appointment specifically to have it re-fixed. Upon arrival, I was told to fill out a direct debit for an annual plan. I explained that I was there just to get my crown re-fitted and was not interested in an annual plan. I got a frosty stare from the receptionist.Evenutally I was shown into the dentist where I explained again the reason for my visit and handed her the crown. At this stage I should explain the my neighbour has recently retired as a dentist and had examined me and the crown and had advised that it was a straightforward procedure. The dentist then went to work, when she was finished I twas under the impression she had fitted my crown. One look in the mirror showed a badly shaped, porr colour matched temporary crown. I asked why she hadn't fitted my existing crown and she said she hadn't had time. That cost me £99. On my return, I was asked again to fill out a direct debit. I again explained why I was there. I waited for 25 minutes past my appointment time until asking the receptionist why there was a wait. She said she would ask so I asked her to also make sure that the dentist would use my existing crown. She came out saying that he wouldn't use the existing crown!!!! I continued to wait but gave up and went to an NHS dentist instead.
