I have been attending this dental surgery for many years now. I have recommended him to many friends and colleagues and all those who have gone to him on my recommendation, have said how happy they are with his work. My previous dentist had carried out fillings & root canals which were (in my opinion) more extensive than was necessary and the crowns did not fit properly. Once the dentist had corrected all the previous dental treatment (renewing fillings, replacing crowns), I have had very little further work done, apart from the 6 monthly check ups and cleans, for many years now.

The wife and three teenage sons have been with this dentist for the past 20 years but being a nervous patient I stuck with my own private dentist 30 minutes drive away. Recently I decided to move to this dentist as my wife mentioned they were accepting new NHS patients, as an old filling had fallen out and was starting to nag especially at night! From the moment of booking the appointment and receiving my initial treatment, I found tte experience efficient and professional. I felt the dentist was both informative and calming as I had mentioned I was quite a nervous patient due to a painful root canal in the past. The dentist inspired me with confidence and their chairs idea manner was cautious and calming. Once the dentist had examined my teeth and took xrays they explained what was required and explained the treatment options available. One of the procedures involves a crown and the dentist mentioned they were happy to do it NHS rather than private unless I wanted a more aesthetic crown than those available on the NHS. Given the crown wasn't going to be that visible I confirmed to go NHS. As the dentist regulates the number of patients they treat as they are the only dentist surgeon in the practicevent, I learned that they like to keep patient numbers down so that they can offer shorter lead times for appointments and offer their patients a more personal service.

The dentist's work is always first rate, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The text service for check ups and reminders for appointments is also spot on. Would definately recommend my dentist
