The new dentist recommended a crown saying I have cracks and the tooth will break. I went for a second opinion and was told for such small filling wouldn't recommended a crown and most likely he was looking for work that wasn't required. Please check and don't trust him, just because he chats and makes you believe otherwise.

I booked at an appointment on 18/09/18. I asked to see a hygienist only. It was agreed that I would see the hygienist on 21/09/18. As I have had teeth taken out recently and visited a dentist twice for a routine check-up, I declined the option to register as the practice would be duplicating work which has recently been completed (x-rays & routine inspection). On the day of the appointment, the receptionist called to say that the hygienist would not see me as I chose not to register. She said having an x-ray is mandatory and practice policy. However, upon making the appointment I made it clear that I didn’t want the above due to visiting a dentist at Kings quite recently. The point being, if an appointment has been arranged, whether it is against your policy or not, it should be honoured as it was agreed. I even asked the receptionist to clarify whether seeing the hygienist without registration was ok and it was deemed fine. Secondly, nowhere on your website does it state that one has to be registered person to see your hygienist. Good service is about honouring what you’ve agreed to and not cancelling because it doesn’t suit you anymore. This is a classic case of the practice adding services to my trolley, which I do not want or need. The appointment was cancelled as the practice couldn’t maximise a sale. Prioritising profits over great customer service/patient centred service. Keep away.
