After waiting nearly a month for an appointment, it was cancelled less than a week before. I was told this was because I am an NHS patient and that I couldn’t be re-booked for at least 8 weeks or I could goto another practice. However if I wanted to pay privately I could keep my original appointment. I am only an NHS patient as I’m entitled to 1 year free dental care after having a baby in January. The practice knew what type of patient I was when I booked the appointment. I attended the practice 5 months ago and required treatment but was advised to wait until I had my baby. I feel this is a terrible way to treat patients and has delayed my treatment further unnecessarily. My treatment is now urgent and I have booked in privately with another practice, however I could have done that a month ago and had the treatment by now.
