Several members of the family have been using this dentist for years, regulars checkups etc. Recently been taken over by new people, the reception was given a slight makeover. Sadly the previous lovely person on reception has gone replaced by and I am sorry to be mean but as other reviews state a quite rude, very abrupt receptionist. No charm at all. I notice they now all of a sudden are not taking any more NHS patients. This makes sense to me as in the last year or so they straight away have been charging private fees for say a simple scale and polish, even a checkup on some family members was charged as a private fee, they admitted they were too embarressed to query this given the whole reception could hear. Luckily they could afford it on the day but it certainly had not been made clear at any stage. I stipulated last time that I wanted an NHs checkup, this was met with a tut!, I also asked about a missing part of a filling and was staggered to be told ( no doubt as I had insisted on NHS ) that well we will leave that until it gives you pain! I asked for a scale and polish after the dentist said I had bad staining and the dentist then changed their tack and said what great condition my teeth were in and not necessary just ease off the tea and coffee! Incredible. I will not return, they blatantly only want private fee paying customers. Whilst they should still supply current patients with the nhs fees it appears they will do anything not to. Greed is a terrible thing!
