I left the practice some years ago because of a bad dentist, but recently made an appointment to return here. The appointment was made in February for a time in May when I was in the country (my work requires me to travel a lot). A week before my appointment was due to take place, it was cancelled and now I can't make another until I know I'm back in December (I may be back before, but it's uncertain for now). I desperately need my teeth seen and cleaned while home and I specifically made arrangements to stay in the country until this appointment - arranged three months in advance. I am disgusted to have this cancelled on me at the last moment, leaving me without any other options. I appreciate dentists are allowed time off, but if you are going to take time off during school holidays, which this is, then you should be aware of this in advance. The exact same thing happened to my Mum, again on a school holiday. The reception showed no empathy at all. Disgusting and disrespectful way to treat your customers.
