The dental practice has changed over the years. I have been a patient with this practice for over 10 years. In the past I would have rated this practice as excellent. Sadly standards are falling. Dentists are not flexible, are ruled by time and there is a lack of compassion. If one is 10 minutes late a dentist will not see you because your appointment is 15 minutes yet there are numerous times when I have sat in the waiting area whilst a dentist is running late with the previous patient. Dentists should not be making decisions based on ego and power and should be more compassionate. One could be in pain when they turn you away for being 10 minutes late and have to rebook another appointment. I wonder whether some of these patients turned away for being 10 minutes late are reported as did not attend to CCGs which would be false reporting yet it's the service being inflexible. With mobile phone restrictions patients are not always able to ring if caught in traffic has this been factored in? Your envoy text messages do not tell patients that the dentist will refuse to see you if you are 10 minutes late. It would be good to add that on. Please put compassion before ego and power i.e. I will ask the dentist if they will see you from your receptionist.
