The dentist practically refused to answer my questions regarding the nature of my filling and procedure and insisted on giving one word answers (as if the questions offended "them"). When answering also "they" would stare at me blankly, exhale and then answer (with one word) and question that obviously needed more than a snooty response. Somewhat like a moody teenager (which was odd considering I'm allowing this individual to operate power tools in my mouth) Dissatisfied with this experience as I too have been involved with the NHS. If a dentist can treat someone who shows a healthy interest in their work (and more importantly, their own body) with such contempt, I think such a dentist needs to be trained to deal with people who aren't completely docile. Finally this dentist left me with more then enough blood in my mouth (again, odd, since this isn't my first filling and I usually leave leave quite clean and without a bloody mouth) I would be interested to find out the actions taken once this review is received. Needless to say I won't be returning. There are more than enough dentists in the Croydon area and many of them can answer questions satisfactorily, have a professional manner and don't leave their patients bloody and bothered when fitting a filling.
