I'll start this off by saying this dentist does not stay open past 5 and is not open weekends, so if you work 9-5, 5 days a week, this isn't a suitable option. I started my orthodontic treatment at this dentist almost 3 years ago now, and although I'm happy with outcome, I am not happy with the service. The dentist, although good at what he does, has no communication skills, and barely talks you through anything you're having done. During my treatment he would bang his finger on my side of my cheek to prompt me to open my mouth wider, rather than just ask me. After my braces and after I completed my journey, I didn't get one sentence off him about if I was happy with them, if I was happy with the service. He didn't summarise the journey, say if I had any problems he'd be right there. He honestly just took my braces off, gave me my retainer and sent me on my way. I had a number of problems with the braces, and with the retainers, and it was so difficult for me to get time off to get it all sorted, there is no flexibility and the receptionist is not willing to be flexible to help in emergencies. The service from the receptionist was rude and abrupt, and all niceties' vanished once I'd paid for all my treatment, then I was just an extra cost to them. Once I paid all my fees, I felt like an annoyance she couldn't usher out the door quick enough. It's worth pointing out the dental assistants are lovely, and I much preferred calling the office and have them answer the phone. Ann on the other hand is a different story, she's abrupt and rude without being obvious, which is worse. In summary, if you're looking for good service, do not use this practice. They are rude and abrupt and do not understand the concept of communication.

Phoned this dentistry as they have good ratings, they said they were only taking on NHS patients only who claim benifets, I can not afford private treatment as I'm an oap , but because I'm independent I'm refused treatment

Receptionist very rude when you speak to her. It must be bad as my daughters even commented on how she spoke to me. Dental assistants were friendly. Have changed dentists now as dentist is only available 1 day a week. Was going to change anyway just because of how the receptionist was. I thought it was a one off the last time I went as people can have off days but she’s just rude and abrupt.
