The second time that I have visited this practice and completely unhappy with the service provided. Dentist informed me that I would need some work doing, at a cost of nearly 1000 GBP ( no mention on the previous visit, with a different dentist but same practice). I did not believe that I needed this work doing and luckily I am in a position to pay for a second opinion at a cost of 50GBP. Saw a private dentist and was provided with a very comprehensive detailed assessment which was completely different from the advice given. I think that it is total scandalous that we go to the dentist expecting the best advice and trust the information they are providing, many are not in the fortunate position as myself where I can afford to get a second opinion. The work I actually need doing is going to cost just over 300GBP instead of 1000GBP a massive difference. I was also informed that I would need a mouthguard, no mention from NHS dentist. The practice manager did call to discuss the situation and went through my notes (the dentist didn't even record the conversation correctly!. I can't believe that I have been so misguided with the information provided. As a result, I am having the work done privately as I can't trust the dentist at the practice.
