Misleading about pricing. Their dentists are self-employed which gives them more freedom to treat patients unfairly. I've been trying to get a filling for months with them (more urgently with an unrelated operation coming up). But I have to have a check up before they'll do it. But in the time that it takes me to save the money for the filling after spending out on the unnecessary check-up each time, so much time has elapsed that they refuse to do the filling again everytime! So I keep on paying for check-ups to tell me that I need a filling, which I already know! But then they never fix the filling because my money has already been spent on the pointless check-ups.... If they'd been honest about pricing, or timings, at the start then I could have saved wasting lots of money on them for nothing. I have also been misinformed at each stage: I called them 2 weeks ago to book the filling and was told that they'd have to check with the practice manager as some time had passed since the previous check up (in November 2023). The receptionist assured me that it would be okay for me to book the filling. However, they required a deposit that I didn't have. So the receptionist checked once again with rhe manager to confirm that I'd be able to book a filling on the 22nd March (today). So I called up.... Only to be told that I have to go through thr check up route again. My Dentist Exeter exist to steal money. I feel very let down! The only reason I can't work is because of becoming sick after donating a kidney. I'm not lazy. But my teeth are rotting thanks to My Dentist. Shame on them and their shoddy business practices

My daughters experience of this practice beggars belief. My daughter had a top set of dentures made which she collected yesterday lunchtime. They cost at huge amount of money and once my daughter collected the teeth she left the surgery as she had another appointment next Thursday still having £241 pounds to pay which she assumed would be paid at her final visit. This morning my daughter was told by the receptionist that a debt collection agency would be informed if the bill wasn’t settled immediately all be it that she had another appointment booked for next week. During her treatment she had two visits cancelled despite travelling from westward Ho. From our experience the receptionists are rude and unprofessional to the extreme, AVOID THIS PRACTICE.

I was an NHS patient at this practice. I called about 2 months ago to make an appointment and was given the earliest available appointment. 25 minutes before my appointment slot, just as I'd left my house, I received a call saying I was no longer an NHS patient and the only way I could proceed with today's appointment was to agree to pay privately. They didn't think to tell me I was no longer a patient at the time of booking, in the 2 months since my appointment booking, when they called me last week to offer the appointment on the day before or when they sent reminders. One can only assume this is a ploy to encourage NHS patients to agree to become private patients by waiting until they Alonso walk through the door, expecting treatment after waiting 2 months for said appointment.
