Apr 29 2015 My grandfather is in this care home, and although the staff are caring and try to make clients feel special and wanted, there is a serious staffing deficit. The home always appears short staffed. The furnishings in the lounge and client bedrooms are extremely dated and damaged. 1 or 2 residents have had injuries caused by the shabby furniture. The quality of food is very poor for elderly residents and not nutritious. There is often a strong smell of urine. There is little stimulation or activity for the residents. They all sit in a communal lounge looking at each other bored or often with their eyes closed. The home often has clients from the outer cottages in the main care home who are not suitable to be with less mobile clients. I do not recommend this care home and I will be arranging a meeting with social services and the CQC to highlight my concerns.

Dec 4 2014 Park Grange staff made my granddad feel very special when he visited for respite. He was only there for two weeks but is looking forward to going back when the family next go on holiday. The building was lovely (converted old building) and felt very homely rather than a hotel or hospital. The food was great, even for my fussy granddad ! The staff were very professional but also very caring and attentive to his individual needs (as i said he could be fussy).
