Cups are dirty, chipped and/or cracked. Cutlery often dirty. Medication given in unwashed glass. It contained remains of medication given to another patient. Patients not given timely access to toilet facilities. Left in wheelchair till they mess themselves. Excrement left on floor for three days: patient eating in same room. Toilet left dirty. Commode left dirty. Staff do not use equipment properly. Complaints not dealt with. Patient with high falls risk who should not be left unattended was directed to be left with another patient aged over 80 and on oxygen..

My mum originally was sent to this carehome to convalesce after a short term spent in hospital after a fall at home. She was placed in the "respite" floor and within a week, my mum was back on her feet and merrily making her way between her room and the dining room. Due to my mum having poor mobility and also following an assessment undertaken by social workers, a decision was agreed that my mum should be placed in full time care and luckily for my mum, they were able to offer her a full time space in Woodhill. This was all run very smoothly and within a couple of weeks my mum was moved onto the residential floor. Unfortunately my mum sufferred another fall and had to spend another 3 weeks in hospital. Upon her return from hospital my mum was then placed on the nursing floor and my brother and I are very happy with the care my mum is getting from this Carehome. My mum's dementia has got worse unfortunately and this is making her very ill and she's getting progressively worse. BUT, I am so pleased she is in this Care Home as the support and help my mum is getting is second to none and both my brother and I and the rest of the family are very appreciative of this care she is getting. This is helping all of us cope with the fact that we will be losing mum soon and it is comforting to us that the all the staff in Woodhill Grange are making the last few days/months of her life comfortable. I can only hope that all other Care Homes give the same level of care/help. Big thank you to all xx
