Dec 23 2015 Had to rescue my relative from their over heated room when floor heating system had broken down. The door was closed and care assistant had gone in, left a cup of tea and left again and the door had swung to almost close. Relative flushed red and wearing wool cardigan and visually in distress and unable to get off the bed. Temperature measured 36 degrees Celsius. Chronic short staffing and one care assistant managing 15 rooms, with some people who needed hoisting. Nurse on duty was elsewhere in the vast building. Glass of water frequently out of reach. Another situation was care assistant brought dinner and plonked the full plate on top of a pile of dirty cushions which a resident used in the garden which they had left on the dining table. Be very careful. Do not be impressed by the luxury carpets.
