Absolutely discusting the staff talk to residents about other people what there in here for its the most worst place what's been built the staff do not care I've had a razor blade for a week although I cut my wrists and that's why I'm here .big mistake that is all the residents just take the poss all day that's down to the staff that is 100% as nothing here is confidential.

Different staff have different rules. Different rules regarding medication. When I tried to commit suicide I was told off by a member of staff when I was clearly suicidle. My Doctor said I was only allowed out with staff or a relative then suddenly I was allowed out alone when the doctor had not said I could. I took an overdose and even went back to the ward and was not checked properly as I still had medication in my pockets. Some staff are very rude and patronising and I feel that patients should be treated with dignity and respect. I was told off by a member of staff who let me out by myself that my family might sue them and there could be an investigation. I have witnessed staff talking to adult patients like children. When you knock the office door they often pretend they didn't hear you. I have seen this happen to other patients aswelI. have no complaints about my doctor just the inconsistent staff on the ward. When visibly upset I am just asked what is the matter stop crying and they walk off. There are absolutely no activities to do in this place only allowed once a week. This place makes you feel depressed. No counselling or psychology available whilst inside even when I have expressed that I don't feel like I can keep myself and others safe at home. I feel in a hopeless situation but wish I could advocate for others and do something to help the mental health services in this country.
