St Pancras Hospital

My mum was admitted to UCLH hospital on the 28/6/19, after having a fall, breaking her Collar Bone, and fracturing her Pelvis in 2 places. After a short stay, mum was moved to St. Pancras Hospital Rehabilitation ward EVERGREEN, where the staff from every level was very attentive, caring, and friendly. After waiting for a bed mum was moved to ROCHESTER WARD 4th floor, as mum had broken her Collar bone, physiotherapy was very minimal, mum was unable to walk, using a Sara Steady to get her to and fro, the Nurses, cleaners, activity co-ordinator, physiotherapist, Doctors, everyone on the ward, have a extremely hard job to do on a daily bases, they are very professional, caring, empathetic, mum is now walking unaided with the help of a walking frame. Which is a marvellous achievement for a 80 years young mum. It has certainly made me more relaxed knowing mum is in good hands, so much so, l can feel rest assured mum is being looked after, so l can get away for a few days. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all, for looking after my mum.

I wish to know why visitors and patients have to endure television while in the waiting room. I was 90 minutes with my husband in the Eye Clinic. I wanted quiet to read but had to submit to endless television. This infringes privacy. Nobody watched it. All others were sleeping or gazing into their phone screens. We were never asked if we wanted this noise and visual pollution. Why is it there and why must we be subject to it? I suggest calm and quiet is best for patients and those accompanying them The right to think ones own thoughts is essential
