Torbay Hospital

I was in today having an opp on my hand. The surgeon, his assistant and all of the staff were incredibly helpful, courteous, respectful and did an amazing job to keep me comfortable. I really cant believe how good I was treated. That you for making what was doomed to be a bad experience, a really pleasant one.

I arranged an appointment at the above Unit for reassessment of a prosthesis as the current one was larger than my other side and appeared odd. At a previous appointment outwith Torbay, I had had an extremely negative experience, hence I approached this appointment with some caution and defences at the ready! I am pleased to say that these were not needed. I was attended to by a staff member called Steph who was approachable, empathetic and knowledgeable. I left the appointment with a more appropriate prosthetic, a well fitting and comfortable bra and the access to order more of the latter without breaking the bank. Well done Steph - what a credit you are to the Unit in my opinion. I hope there are not too many staff members called Steph doing the same job so the correct one is identified as I hope this feedback is shared directly.
