The original Consultant was very nice and the operation was carried out all went ok, went to clinic fist time all ok, then had staples removed, wish they had bought another office stapler as the thing had fired 2 at a time and crossed, the physio gave exercises to do but unhappy with swelled legs so sent for a scan for DVT then went to physio second time and had another scan and nothing found. Was going for another clinic appointment but had a phone call telling me that my consultants clinic and operations were cancelled as he no longer worked at the hospital. Had to ask for another consultant which was done. Another physio appointment, leg swollen and scanned DVT found and blood thinner tablets prescribed and given also appointment with haematologist given for next day. Problems began with a phone call saying I needed to pay #163;180 to see the consultant, I asked why when I was a NHS Choices patient, so no and told to contact my GP. This was the start of more problems causing the patient to be upset and worried, they appear to want to pick what procedures they wish to carry out but forget duty of care, so anyone going to this hospital under NHS Choices I would think long and hard.
