Sarah’s Home Care service was chosen for a family member out of other reputable long established domiciliary care companies in the local area of Watford, based on that they could provide a more personal service. Observing this company for some time, I can unfortunately say that among other concerns, there have been numerous events that have been left unexplained at the residence of our family member where they reside. This has indeed left our family members questioning the sincerity and reliability of the care service provided especially when it came to communicating with the manager. The lack of accountability is in itself a cause for concern. I can’t stress enough of how important it is to research whichever care provider you decide to go with. Looking back, our family could have requested further reference, raised any concerns from any reviews, asked to speak to at least two carers if possible and more importantly check the current status of the company with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The safety and care quality is so important these days especially when it comes to family and it’s paramount that this is not neglected in any way. It is vital that you keep on top of all things, make regular visits/calls and raise any concerns you may have and question & report anything that doesn’t feel right. This is not a big well known company and overlooking minor issues will most likely only to lead the care service becoming complacent in more ways than one. We are now with a professional care provider that meets all of our requirements.
