    Domiciliary Care and Start is a service provided by Gateshead Council where support and personal care is provided to people in their own home. The domiciliary care aspect is provided by four teams, which provide long term support to people. The Start service consists of two teams which provide short term rehabilitative support to help people become independent again. This service is usually provided to people after discharge from hospital, or when a new referral is made to support a person in their own home, or when a service is renewed.
