Visited my Aunt often at this village before she passed. Some staff always busy running around particularly the cleaners and care staff who were wonderful also catering staff so professional, whilst all those working on reception desk were always too busy drinking cups of tea, eating food and gossiping to bother with visiting relatives who were helping to pay their wages. How awful to be greeted with such a lack of professionalism, whomever allows this behaviour needs addressing, most inappropriate to have a tuck shop reception as a first impression, 5star service this is not. Building problems and faults were a daily occurrence and not just teething problems, 2 years of problems from the day she signed contracts till the day she left. They advertise acres of scenic woodland but in reality you cannot access the treacherous woods for fear of toppling over amongst the unkept brambles and weeds. One tiny square of garden with a shed and some apple trees in the middle of a building site is not the picturesque vision my Aunt had in mind. Not a successful set up and rising charges subsidise the lack of properties being sold, even redundancies for those most unfortunate to have chosen a career at this building site from hell. I have since been informed that the general manager was asked politely to leave, I hope the new takeover from Hanover Housing provides some proper training to those still sitting on their rears who have no concept of why you don’t eat and drink in front of customers. |

I have a friend and ex neighbour with dementia whom i visit with her old next door neighbour and i take my little dog who cheers her up immensely because she remembers him and the fact he used to play with her dog. I walked my dog up this afternoon and enquired at reception if my friend and I could pay to use the swimming pool after we had visited our friend.
The member of staff very abruptly just said no. I had told the member of staff my friend I visit has dementia so it was quite obvious we could not take her to the pool with us and from the literature I have received re the facilities at Bishopstoke Park it looks as if it is available to the paying public.
I live nearby and have considered buying a place there in a few years time but this awfully rude attitude has changed my mind completely.
It may be bad bank holiday staff but this sent me home feeling very offended and upset by her attitude
Kind regards
