My family member had ICCM in for nearly 3years this August 2016 there was periods of this care that there was no carers their recruitment took to long and carers would go and get other jobs so we were never fully staffed. There was so many case managers there was no continuenty at all and when we did get carers they felt un supported by management. This last year 2015/2016 has been the worst when issues were being raised with ICCM in relation to some care issues they became very defensive and threatened the removal of care ICCM knew my family could not manage 24 hours care without help so my family felt pushed into back tracking just to keep care coming in. The decision to remove care was made in the middle of June 2016 myself and family were not informed until the first week in July by CCG. ICCM still had a duty of care for my family member but left them without care on more than one occasion they ignored telephone calls from social services their lack of care to my family member did have an impact on their well being mainly pad changes as their skin broke down no one should be treated like this by any care company regardless of them pulling out care. I would seriously consider having this company in to care for your Loved one. They also treat their staff appallingly they gave them less than two weeks notice that they were being pulled from this package so it's not only their clients it's their staff as well. ICCM have just been bought over with a new company but this has only made the problem a lot worse. |
