Had dealings with this local group for a while as they are the one s/services currently using..
if you have to deal with them...most of the carers are ok. .office.-.do not expect them to inform you of anything/treat their clients with any respect or attempt to liase with family if any problems..what they will do is not allow enough time-remove calls-not respond to your queries-not inform you if an emergency and treat you like an idiot |

We have been using comfort call for my wife for a few months now and in general their service is OK when it is her regular carer( a young lady as we specifically asked for a female because my wife doesn't want a young lad bathing her!). the problem arises when she is off duty or on holiday. the replacements that come either are very late, rediculously early or just missing, and even the wrong sex! there is no phone call from them if there is a problem, just don't turn up! and when it's a young lad I just have to turn him away! they are paid well for these services so it should be easy enough to get it right! this help was supposed to give me a little breather from my 24h/7day caring role but to be honest I am more stressed now than I ever was! |

Quality of care not up to scratch, missed calls & not informing us, especially when they were unable to get an answer at my mums door. When I contacted them to ask why they can't give answers. Say they will investigate but then don't get back to me. Currently been waiting 2 weeks to find out about the latest missed call. Staff attitude when you ring is often very bad. I would not recommend them but we seem to have no choice but to use them as they are the only company that adult social services use. If we go private my mum doesn't then fit the criteria to stay in her assisted living home. |
