Hi. I filled in a questionnaire on the nhs app this morning and had confirmation from this practice that a doctor would ring me by 6 30pm tomorrow evening, Tuesday 23 November. I decided l, as it was an urgent medical problem, lump on neck to ring the surgery to see if i could get in the doctors for an urgent appointment. I was told … No, ring at 8 am tomorrow! I then asked them to confirm the doctor would be ringing me,’only to be told Dr Robertshaw , had said this has to be a face to face appt. Why had no one contacted me to tell me this. I would have sat worrying myself sick only receive no call and another day lost on any diagnosis. I Am horrified this could happen Where is the duty of care to patients who cannot with urgent conditions get an appointment!!! Only to sit and be forgotten about |

Over a week now of not been able to get an appointment at my doctors for my 3 year old son! 47 times this morning from 8:00am to 08:10am and couldn’t even get through. Every day I ring and explain my son was seen 4 weeks ago and the doctor wanted to see him back in two weeks if things hadn’t improved, which they hadn’t hence the appointment but explaining this all the response I get is ‘the walk in centre’ or ‘ring at 8am’ but when I’m ringing at 8am there’s no way of getting through apart from to an engaged line! My child has a blood condition and I want to be able to trust and depend on my gp but this is impossible. As a family of 4 who are registered at this doctors we will be leaving. This doctors needs to be better managed and have better systems in place! Not only this but both my children had to be re immunised due to a mistake/error with the temperature of the fridge apparently. CQC want to step in and really access this practise. |
