Both myself and my baby have had to make a number of trips to the surgery for one reason or another since her birth. Whilst it does take a few rings as the phones are busy, we have been able to get in to see the doctor every time and the doctor has been incredibly patient and caring with us. We have also had excellent care from the nurses and midwives where necessary. The support given by the surgery has really helped us through a tricky time and the ladies on reception have been helpful and practical on the phone even when it is clear they are extremely busy. |

I don't know what has happened at this surgery in relation to getting an appointment. Last year I could phone and get an appointment that day - even if it meant phoning again on the afternoon - but I phoned today to be told there are no appointments for a week. There are 3 doctors at this practice but whenever I've been there ( including to see the nurse) there only ever seems to be 1 seeing patients. I have no complaints about any of the doctors but more needs to be done to allow patients to see 1 of them. It is hardly surprising that people are going to A & E if this is becoming the norm. |

Over the past years the standard of care is falling. As seen the receptionists are belligerent and unhelpful. They aren't aware of services they provide.
In recent weeks inspite of being told that the GP surgery is the first access for services it has failed. Even after contacting 111 and being told that the surgery must and have a duty of care to provide services they, the receptionists won't.
Get through the barricades and the service improves markedly but good luck with that one. |
