I attended this surgery for an appointment and was totally ignored by the receptionist. There was no eye contact made the entire time, I was not greeted and this staff member looked incredibly bored and uninterested. This individual continued to stare at the computer screen before telling me to take a seat. I was the only one in the waiting room and there was nobody else there. On entering the appointment room for my first ever blood test as an adult, the nurse quietly began with setting up, it would have been nice for the nurse to have introduced herself and explained what the actual blood test was for and reasoning behind it. So I asked the nurse myself by which I received a very unscientific explanation. I was unaware as to how i would receive the blood test results as no information was provided, the nurse finished taking the blood and allowed me to leave which is when I presented the question myself. Fast forward a week later, i call to receive my results and the receptions just said 'normal results' and a 'follow up in 6months'. What does that even mean? When questioning furthur why i would need a furthur test in 6months, the reply i got was ' im borderline' this only resulted in me becoming more worried and anxious. I asked then ' bordeline for what exactly'? And the reply was ' I dont know...that's all it says' I asked specifically what my iron levels were to which the response was ' i don't know what that is'. I requested a detailed report as I was not statisfied and so the receptionist reluctantly arranged a telephone conversation with the nurse. |
