I've tried x better tried to get through to make an appointment for months now. I did see pharmacist first ,did online review x seen a nurse all told me to see doctor. Impossible. I rang surgery got number 5 in queue got to my turn disconnected, finally after 35 minutes got through at number 23 persevered x then told no appointment, wouldn't give me next day appointment unless I rang at 8am next day, impossible. Again today phone off hook from 8.01 am finally got through at 9.55 number 49 no appointments left .couldn't make appointment if no one on phones. Ridiculous | ||||||

I was with this surgery for 25yrs upto a few weeks ago and i will always be in debt to all the staff.
They were polite and professional, always very very helpful.
Nothing was ever too much trouble.
The surgery and rooms were always very very clean

I don't visit the GP often I must admit. I tend to try work out issues on my own and where I can I'll try sort them myself, especially when it's cold, flu etc.
However I will try see my GP when it's something I consider serious, whether it's some chronic issue or not but something I can't resolve myself. So I consider myself to not abuse the system too much. All I expect back from that, is a little assistance.
This GP however, you're lucky to get through on the phone - average waiting time I would say is 15-30 minutes. Which doesn't sound too bad, but then you get cut off and have to start the process again. You're lucky to get through and have a proper conversation with someone within an hour - 2 hours.
Second of all, you're then lucky to get appointment. I would say on average you're waiting nearly 2-3 weeks. By then you'll either be in such a bad way A&E is your only choice depending on your condition / issue. Or to take your chances and ride it out instead.
I've heard of other GP surgeries in the area and I know first hand other surgeries in the area are MUCH better. You'll get appointments same day, they'll answer phone calls quickly. All I can say is, unless you're stuck for transportation / logistically can't go to another GP in the area. Do not bother with this one. | ||||||
