From my experience, one of the receptionists are quite rude and unempathetic. I heard a receptionist refer to the doctor that was seeing me by her first name so that’s what I knew the doctor as from then on instead of Dr (insert surname). Because of this, I would accidently call the doctor by her first name instead of her professional title, when talking to this certain receptionist over the phone. They would correct me and say the professional title instead of the first name which I get but they would keep doing it (the same receptionist) every time I accidently called her by her actual name. I said I was sorry and that that’s what I know her by and this receptionist was making a big thing out of it which made me feel uncomfortable and made me dislike her for being so petty and for wanting to debate something so small when my health was on the line and is way more important than this manner. I think this receptionist should get a new job, maybe one she enjoys because it’s not right taking your negativity and insecurities out on the customer. Very bad customer service from this one woman. I also think the waiting room could be done up. Maybe have a splash of colour to it or some music playing in the background as it feels depressing enough waiting there in silence and surrounded by white, dead walls with health posters littered all over them. Do better. |

Every time i requested an appointment i seemed to have to wait weeks to get to see the doctor or even a nurse? I requested even a call from doctor and told the earliest was 2 weeks for a telephone appointment? Receptionist was not the most caring or helpful all she said is if it is urgent phone 111 and see if they give you a perscription or failing that try ringing first thing every morning to see if we can give you an appointment but can't guarantee? Not one to course a fuss and only go to the doctors when i feel it's urgent. getting an appointment at this doctors never seemed to be a problem in the past but now it seems near impossible, so frustrated about this that i feel i had to write this complaint. |

Both my partner and I use this service and we are extremely pleased with the care that we have received. The doctors are very attentive and our well being has been their main concern. On the one occasion that there wasn't an appointment available they arranged a same-day appointment at the walk-in centre in Blaydon. The following week, I was invited back to Hollyhurst so that my regular doctor could check that everything was resolved. |
