What a nightmare, quite possibly the worst doctors surgery I have ever experienced; after just 8 months I've finally had enough, whilst the reception staff are always very pleasant, polite, and appear to do their best to help the team behind the scenes just don't seem to support them, messages are left ignored, requests take months to process with excuse after excuse, everyone else is to blame. An incredible 4 months to get a one page form completed which in the end had been done incorrectly! Actions requested by the DVLA and DWP take months, and even then only after MANY repeated requests. I'm done with this practice and moving to a different surgery. |

My partner walked into this surgery in 2011 as he was extremely jaundiced and very ill. The reception man asked him if it was life threatening and refused to give him an appointment for that day. My partner had to go to A&E at Tameside hospital. When he arrived at the hospital the nurses and doctors were appalled that he was refused to be seen at Donneybrook. Also on another occasion when he wasI the waiting room waiting to be seen by a doctor at Donneybrook he suddenly became very ill and felt like he was going into a fit, a doctor walked up to him and just kept asking my partner what was wrong but my partner couldn't explain to him because he felt to I'll. The doctor wouldn't phone for an ambulance and my partner had to then walk to the doctors room. The doctor was unsympathetic at the time. The only good doctor there is a certain doctor because he has always treated my partners illnesses with the proper treatment and care. Even up until this date, my partner always has problems getting to see his own doctor because every time he tries to get an appointment from 7am or 8am, for the same day he either gets told that there are none left or he is seen by a locum doctor or nurse and still leaves the doctors frustrated with the lack of proper treatment and care. |

Just been down towalk in surgery at 9.20, to be told it's closed when I stated that website says till 10.30 was told they only have 20 patients per doctor, so it's a first come first served surgery not 7 till10.30. Also of course couldn't get an appointment today. Reply from Donneybrook Medical Centre Mon, 25 Feb 2019 12:02:25 Z I am sorry you could not get to see a doctor this morning. For safety reasons, we limit the number of patients each GP can see to 20. As you say, although the clinic runs from 8am to 10.30am (7am on Mondays) the appointments are booked before then, especially during busy periods. You can book appointments in advance at our afternoon clinics either in person, over the telephone or online, which may help you. For online booking, you will need a PIN - please speak to a member of staff to organise this for you. From 11/3/19, we are making changes to our morning clinics. We will continue to offer appointments that can be booked on the day by coming down to the surgery, but there will also be some available for pre-booking, by phone or online. |
