Having lived in Marple Bridge for 33 years I have been spoilt. I could always get an appointment the same day in an emergency and within 1 week for a normal appointment. Having moved to Poynton it’s a world of difference. We have to wait 3 weeks to see a doctor although in a genuine emergency I’m sure they will see you. Also in Marple Bridge if you needed to have a blood test you were generally seen right away after seeing your doctor. I now have to wait a week and half for a suitable appointment. The reception staff were generally pleasant and the doctors and nurses were excellent. I used to feel sorry for my work colleagues when they complained about waiting weeks to see a doctor. Now I’m in the same position. I do miss Marple Bridge Surgery! |

This has been my surgery for over 30 years and they have always been excellent. Today was no different, despite the current pressures of Covid, etc. I asked to be seen and was seen straight away, tests taken and followed up immediately. Plus the doctors, practice nurses and receptionists are all so helpful and friendly. We're very lucky to have them. |
