I am reviewing two separate visits to the surgery. On both occasions, the computers went down. The first time was unexplained and lasted over 30 mins causing chaotic delays, or so i thought. I was having severe stomach cramps and was advised, 'it'll pass'. Not ideal, but after another week of pains, it did eventually pass so i guess they were right, but surely some medication could have sped up that process. The second time i went was after 4 weeks of a persistent sore throat down one side of my neck. After the computers went down again, causing a 45 minute delay, i was advised that, 'your body will fight this', leaving the comment hanging as if it to say 'that's it, see you later'. The service and the doctors leave a lot to be desired, but as i didn't attend medical school for 7 years, I didn't feel confident enough to say it felt like i was being rushed out. |

I have a very bad ear infection which has not healed and also im loosing my voice. Dr Paul Walkman gave me antibiotics which hasn't heeled and also he found something at the back of my throat which he said i need to have a face to face with your doctor which is impossible at the Uplands Medical practice and yes I understand that the world is all messed up. So it looks like its another visit to the A&E. This surgery has gone down hill since the day Dr Choi left. |

The service is absolutely disgusting. Especially from the male members of reception. Bit they all put you on hold after being 8 in a queue. But when you're waiting in the surgery you can see them ignoring the calls. A You can't get past them at all. They are very well qualified to tell you , you're problems aren't an emergency. I've suffered now for nearly 12 months. I'm awaiting to different surgeries and under specialist. But need to wait for these appointments and will not contact the surgery again. I suffer with bipolar and anxiety and the receptionist make me feel abosoulty worthless. I will change surgery once I've been seen at the hospital. |
