Went in for something small weeks later the mass of misinformation incorrectly stated things I have or haven't got wrong with me and tuck near two months to tell me more information no idea to this day what is wrong with me the whole situation is just a big Mess that's having me considering changing doctors | ||||||

Communication of abnormal results not good. Prior to Covid the surgery was very quick with abnormal results. Information needed for a Consultant not communicated. Was asked if receptionists could give me my results but it was chaotic. Told results sent to a Consultant and specific result requested not found which I don't feel the receptionists can be blamed for. I don't feel it is the responsibility of receptionists to give out results when there are abnormal results, that is the responsibility of the GP. Finding about about an abnormal result in a referral letter isn't appropriate. Equally an abnormal stool result wasn't communicated which was important for the Consultant I dealt with and might have changed his thinking. You were so quick to ring me about my annual review so could and should have done this with abnormal results. But am guessing that the abnormal results weren't enabling a target to be met. Really disappointed and expected better from the surgery which doesn't appear to be as well organised or communicating as well as previously. There is too much reliance on messages via the reception staff which can result in distortion. I don't appreciate being told a scan was requested urgently to then find out when ringing the hospital for an appointment that is was routine. That scan was vital for my renal care and I was lucky to get a cancellation. Maybe my care is too complex but effective communication isn't. | ||||||

I have nothing but praise for the whole team The reception staff are friendly and helpful Yes it is hard to get through on the telephone but that is not their fault. I have needed to speak quite urgently to a doctor and have always managed to do so I have been treated with respect, had things explained to me and most importantly been listened to They are working flat out and in my opinion doing a fantastic job!I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else Thank you everyone! | ||||||
