I took my daughter for an appointment last night, the doctor we met was absolutely lovely. I'm very glad to say we don't go very often but from when you phone to make your appointment to seeing the doctor everyone is always so lovely and professional. Thank you for a great service. | ||||||

During our recent 7 week holiday in Spain (driving both ways) I experienced swelling in my right lower leg plus some shortage of breath. I saw a doctor in Spain and it was decided an infected mosquito bite was the most likely reason - I was prescribed antibiotics. On the return drive my partner was so concerned she phoned Reception, from France, on Monday 9th September and got an appointment for 1900 hours the next day (don't let me catch anyone at the next Patient Panel complain about lack of appointments!)
I was seen promptly by the locum GP (apologies but I can't remember his name). I gave him a potted history (incompetent popliteal vein left leg diagnosed 2 years ago). He was so concerned that he phoned Whiston and told them to expect me in A&E immediately. He offered an ambulance but someone was able to take me.
I arrived 1945 and was later admitted. They identified DVT in right leg and PE in both lungs. I received a thorough overhaul and medication prescribed prior to discharge (I have fed back on the outstanding service separately).
I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your colleagues for the exception treatment I received at the surgery. Firstly the appointment at short notice and then the GP insisting (and who would reduce his instructions!) that I go immediately to A&E
