I am a carer for a patient at Parkfield, and also a patient there myself. What I have experienced is such a caring and thorough care of not only the person I look after but also myself. They have gone the extra mile and looked at our care from a broad holistic view, thinking about our physical and mental health and screening for any other concerns. The Docs show a lot of care over the years and give me the reassurance that I can always get an answer or solution for any health concern. Getting an appointment can be hard at times but I can always ring and speak to a Dr on the phone any day. Reply from Parkfield Medical Centre Tue, 09 Jul 2019 11:22:01 +0100 Thank you for your very kind and supportive comments. It Is always reassuring for us to know that we are providing a caring service to all of our patients and carers. |

When I moved to the area I needed to change Drs. I researched and this seemed the best of the bunch. I am not sure how bad the rest are which is worrying. Unless I am physic I cant get an appointmemt. To suit. I work and travel a lot so am limited to when I can get here and the receptionists are totally inflexible and unhelpful. I dont use the doctors very often but when I need to it would be serious. Again the way the system is run does not allow for this. I have been about 3 times now and everytime I have had to wait at least 40 minutes. Currently my wait is 45 minutes and counting. I dont feel it is unreasonable to be given an appointment and be fit that in within my lunch hour. It is inefficient and outdated. Maybe there is a way to beat the system or make it work for you. If there is though I am sad to say I have not found it. 55 minutes now!!. No accountability, no apologies and clearly no chance of improvement. Reply from Parkfield Medical Centre Tue, 09 Jul 2019 11:49:51 +0100 We are sorry to hear about these issues. If you would like to contact the surgery directly so that we can look into this further. Having looked at the system appointments for that day (5th July ) the 55 minute wait time doesn't seem to correspond with the system. You appear to have posted the complaint whilst you were waiting at 14.38pm? Just to say that we are closed each day between 2.00pm and 3.30pm. However, if these details are incorrect then we would like to investigate this further so that your issues can be addressed. Please do write directly to the Practice Manager here at Parkfield Medical Centre (Castle Bromwich) and we look forward to hearing from you. Our reception staff are not usually inflexible or unhelpful and we would also like to be able to address this. Thank you. |
