I am extremely appalled and distressed alongside other members of my family who are dealing with the brunt of incompetency and lack of care given to someone who is of age and medically vulnerable on numerous occasions from this surgery. This surgery will give you a constant run around with medication, care and referrals for possible life threatening issues. Being told to wait all morning for calls for someone on numerous occasions who has anxiety and extremely high blood pressure, and then not calling all day to find no communication has actually happened between doctors like they said it would. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the lack of care. Changing medications with no real idea of what is going on, and a guinea pig mentality on new drugs and change of dose of meds before even issuing a brain scan or referral for a potential scan, despite 111 advice. Terrible, just terrible. This is now affecting mental health as well as physical health. Thinking of attending the surgery? Don't do it! Call 111 or if emergency 999. |

The treatment I recently received from staff at this surgery (humiliated in front of a full waiting room) left me so distressed that I took my partner with me to my next appointment for support and also to be there in case the behaviour was repeated. I have never encountered anything like it.
I think these people forget that they are dealing with persons who are ill, possibly vulnerable and maybe even afraid. Their ability to empathise, deal with people politely and properly and also to address issues instead of exacerbating them, seems set at nought.
I would like them to think about their behaviour and ask themselves how they would feel if they or someone they cared about was treated in this way and what they would like to see done about it.
I shall be changing to another surgery as soon as I am able and hopefully not have to visit this surgery again. |
