I joined this surgery 5 months ago. Have been see by one particular doctor twice. She is a brilliant Doctor and very helpful. Someone you will be comfortable with. Thanks very much. The reception staff are also very helpful. I met one nurse who is also very helpful. They have a very useful mobile options for appoint and repeat prescription. Overall, can't praise enough. However, as they are overstreched that is reflected in telephone pick ups and appintment availability. |

I started ringing the surgery at 3pm it’s now 3:34pm. I can only get as far as the soul shattering hold music, I was forced to listen to this for 15 mins before. Had to hang up as it was driving me mad. I’ve had problems with the auto mated system previously so called back still the awful music over and over again and no human voice answering. It’s a real shame as the doctors are usually amazing. 15 mins on hold is unacceptable even by the lowest standards. This happens quite regularly, so much so I may consider changing practice to somewhere I can through to |

This evening I rang the surgery at 5ish as I was in urgent need of an appointment for my child. Although I do not visit often I understand the pressures GP surgeries face day to day so I was expecting to be told that I'd need to go to a walk in centre as it was so late in the day to request.
I explained briefly the reasons why I needed an appointment for my 3 Yr old (receptionists aren't nosey they NEED to know some details so they can find the appropriate service for you) and I was told come straight down! I arrived within 5 minutes and was seen straight away and given a prescription for antibiotics for my daughter (not something I could have bought over the counter). I know this is probably due to a cancelled appointment that they were able to make use of but I am so very grateful for the service tonight from reception to doctor.
It saddens me to see the star rating on here isn't higher and some of the comments are negative and unhelpful. If the receptionist had signposted me to a walk in centre I would still have been grateful because;
1-she's doing a great job providing me with alternatives 2-the bigger picture is that I would have been able to have my child seen somewhere and when you feel it is urgent for an appointment you will go anywhere to be seen, surely?
Patients, If it's not urgent then wait or make use of the other services they advertise like the hub or livi. Use the online booking system, don't waste appointments - cancel them so others can use them, visit a pharmacy first, do your part!
Green Ridge staff and doctors, please continue to work hard in these pressured times, I'm 33, I've been a patient for 33 years and will stay, you go above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. Thank you. |
