My daughter attended earlier today having been to A&E due to excessive vaginal bleeding. The hospital refused to scan her and said she would have to se her GP to get One organised. And now her GP has refused to send her for a scan because she has not tested positive for pregnancy. Any unusual bleeding, I thought, should be treated as serious and every effort made to find the cause. Instead my daughter has been offered oral contraception despite already receiving Depo injections for that very purpose. Her dosage of antidepressants has been.increased and she has been told she is perhaps taking things too much to heart. I am utterly disgusted at the way she has been treated so I will be contacting PALS and her local MP. God forbid anything happens to her because I will be going to the local and National Press. | ||||||

First of all I will start with the positives, usually you are able to get through to the surgery via telephone & I haven’t had many problems being seen either on the day or when asked for an appointment. Secondly once you are booked in the surgery your appointment is usually on time unlike some surgeries where you are seen up to an hour after your appointment time. BUT the shameful thing is that it is the Drs here that are the problem! Every time me or my child have gone into the surgery they haven’t even done basic observations! As a nurse myself I think this is shocking as people can appear well but they really are not! Everyone I have left the surgery i have felt disappointed and upset that I have not been taken seriously, two Drs I have seen really do not seem to pay any interest and they just want you in and out of that room as quick as possible with a prescription. I had an appointment regarding some problems, I was never asked if I could be pregnant, I told the Dr I was very hot and he never even took my temperature. Very very poor care from the doctors, and disgusting person centred care. I have no idea what they have been university for or why they have entered this career as they do not seem to radiate care or compassion! I will have to change doctors as I have problems I am very concerned about but whenever I visit the surgery they don’t help or reassure me in any way! Just make me feel like I have been in there for nothing. I strongly advise you do not join this surgery. | ||||||
