I have read these reviews from 3 or 4 years ago and can honestly say nothing has changed. I live in Priorslee, and my family and I are registered with the practice there. It is an impossibility to get an appointment to see any Doctor at this Practice. Last year my daughter had tonsilitis and needed antibiotics but you can't go in and make an appointment, you have to ring up on the day and hope that you can get one. The earliest appointment was 2 weeks away unless I wanted to take her to A&E! Meanwhile she's in pain and ended up having tonsilitis for 6 weeks as when she finally saw the GP she was prescribed a lower dosage of antibiotics then what she should have had. I have a number of health conditions which put me at risk for some things and recently I had some blood tests and it showed some abnormalities for which I am now on medication for, but no one from the practice has rung me to tell me what the abnormalities mean or how the medication is going to impact on other medication I take. Instead, when I tried to make an appointment to speak to the Doctor to find out more information, I cannot get an appointment and am told to ring back every morning to see if one is available. This is not practicable, I work and cannot just wait on the phone for over an hour, waiting to speak to someone, only to find out there are no appointments available. Yet, when you walk down to the surgery the waiting room is empty - as was the case on 14 Feb 2024. I would not be recommending this practice to anyone. |

Never able to get an app I have found receptionist to be extremely rude.. My husband has been extremely poorly and in great pain for 3 weeks to a month.. Hours getting through on phone only to be told no face to face appt..Only phone consults end of August as it wasn’t urgent.. Fully trained medical receptionists..I have had to phone 111 who amazingly got a Dr to phone immediately.. Dr couldn’t have been more helpful.. Blood tests etc done within days.. Diagnosed and treated.. Went to surgery yesterday. Receptionist got in a strop and wouldn’t speak to me.. Walked off and left me..Would only speak to patient .Who,was unable to go to surgery..I went down because I couldn’t get through on phone.. A more senior lady came out and spoke to me she was kind and helpful..She dealt with my problem and was really nice.. My husband is still in great pain and poorly |

You spend so long waiting to get down the queue to actually speak to someone and then can't actually get an appointment. Last week I was sitting at number ten in the queue when I rang and gave up having only move to position eight in 18 minutes. Second time I was on hold for over 15 minutes. Shifnal is rapidly expanding but the surgery cannot cope with the patients it already has let alone any more. I desperately tried to stay with my old surgery (Donnington) when I moved here but was classed as out of the area. Such a shame as they were so much better. I am writing this whilst on my second 15 minute wait today just to chase a prescription. Good job I am not dying! |
