I visited the GP and he instructed me to book an appointment with the nurse to have administered the treatment that I needed to have. One receptionist, was very kind, patient and helpful. Then another receptionist got involved. She did everything in her power to keep me from booking the appointment there - which had been requested by my GP from that practice! She kept trying to outsource my treatment to other places and refusing to book the appointment, or postponing saying she wouldnt book it then but that I could come back another time to book it. I patiently explained that i would still wish to book it now and I am aware that it takes some time to get appointments, especially after regular working hours. She said in an angry tone "oh no it doesn't". Of course in the end the earliest appointment they had was in a week's time so there was no need to be rude as my concern about the waiting time was justified. Even if it wasn' though she still had no justificarion for being rude. I had to request for the appintment to be booked multiple times and this lady was frankly rude and unhelpful all the way through. |

I got the appointment and convenient time I needed a this year; the practice has surpassed itself dealing with my blood test needs. My disability and transport availability were all taken into account ; thanks very much to the doctors and nurses involved and appreciate the autonomy given me in my case Reply from Donnington Medical Practice Sun, 04 Feb 2018 09:35:58 Z Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I have been a patient of Donnington Medical Practice all my life and cant believe some of the negative reviews that I am reading are about the same practice.
Always get an appointment on the day you want.
If you want to see a specific GP you can book two weeks ahead.
If you ring in you know what number you are in the queue.
The Gp will always ring you back if you ask them to.
