The medical team are very good and compassionate I can not fault them but the reception staff need help ,they have been rude to me more than once ,I think there is a lack of training for the reception staff ,I have been spoken to in a very rude Manor, that just destroys my confidence as a patient there is very little goodwill coming from the reception team |

I have been with this practice for years and generally I have been happy with the doctors, but females receptionist staff is not helpful most of the time. Two months ago I was referred for ultrasound, however I found out that they have never received the email from Brock. practice. I called the receptionist back in Brock. to ask to which email my referral was sent to, but the lady was not able to give me the answer. I passed her the email of ultrasound department and asked her if she could find out where it was sent before as I didn't wish that happened again to which she responded that actually it was the same address...and making comment about ultrasound department? Obviously it's hard to tell what happened, I asked when this referral is going to be send again and if I could be contacted by their stuff once it's done as it's urgent. I got the respond that she pass it to her college today, but that she can not let me know when her college is going to do it and that they will not contact me because that's not what they do?! Also that it has been marked as the urgent referral before, but two months ago my referral was not urgent. However since then I missed two periods and in the case like this I would expect the answer "We call the ultrasound dep. ourselves to see what happened and make sure they got your referral today." The receptionist close the conversation by saying that her job is done by telling her college to send the email and that's it. I have to wait till ultrasound is going to call me. Obviously it's my health, missing the period for two months isn't alright and I rather call the practice and ultrasound myself again this week, which should not be my job to make sure that other people make their job correctly. I also mentioned that I would appreciate better approach from their side as it's not a first time when something like that happened. I was changing my old address not that long time ago only to find out that my cervical screening result was sent to my old address. Which is private information and the receptionist just hang up on me. I am sorry but this is not professional trained stuff. At the end of the day, I was not bothering the receptionist for nothing, but she could not be more unwilling, offended and have no consideration to my situation at all. This happened around 11:35 am and I hope that someone will really have a talk with this lady, as the receptionists are there to help patients. |
