Absolutely dreadful is an understatement. DO NOT JOIN THIS SURGERY. The person who manages this place writes the same generic response to all complaints, they couldn't care less. I hope you have plenty of free minutes on your phone because you'll be on hold for at least 30 before you manage to talk to a human. The human you do talk to will be rude and abrupt and generally treat you like an imposition. For God's sake please don't ask to see a doctor in person, in fact please don't even ask to speak to one on the phone. An assistant/medical student will speak to you but don't worry because they'll relay your health issues to a REAL DOCTOR who will write you a prescription |

i have been registered with this practice nearly since it has started, , but about 4 years ago The partners left the practice and the surgery started to go backward, gp’s, that do not want to understand your case who just treat you as a number not a person, instead of 10 minutes appointment it’s 5 minutes appointment, as they keep pressurising you when you are trying to explain your pain, doctors keep on changing because the management is so bad. And when you try to explain let’s say for example about a pain in your arm, you see the doctor going on google to try and find how to treat you. And if you try to call the practice and speak to any doctor there most of the time they are rude and always refer to nhs.com and what is written in front of them on a screen that me , you or anyone can have access to. It is not a way to treat patients |

I am a long term sufferer of RA and am currently having a flare up. I don't visit the GP often as i am under the care of the consultants at hospital. For the first time in a long time i felt listened to. I was able to get an on the day appointment without having to wait very long on the phone. The GP was very sympathetic and understanding and offered me alternative options to help manage my care whilst waiting for a follow up at the hospital. I have very happy with the service at Chatfield and would recommend the service to all. |
