I’ve recently registered with the practice and had my first appointment yesterday with a doctor. She was warm and welcoming which immediately put me at ease. This doctor was brilliantly informative and gave me great advice. Very happy to have a GP like this. |

I am a great admirer of the NHS. This surgery does a great deal to diminish that feeling. My test results haven't been delivered to me on three occasions now despite repeated calls (one took over a month, as they kept mailing it incorrectly). When I'm told I will hear from my doctor, I assume that means I won't since I only have about 50% of the time. Appointments generally mean I get in 30 to 60 minutes late even when I'm there less than two hours after opening. And most recently, I called to make an appointment for an issue and was told I would have to wait a calendar week to see someone. A year and a half ago, the wait wasn't more than two days. Apparently, eighteen months has nearly quadrupled the wait time patients are expected to endure while trying to address issues with their health. I shall be chasing down a new surgery now rather than dealing with this nonsense anymore. |

today I called for an appointment because i am diabetic and I have 4 metformin left and want to order a repeat prescription. Receptions told me they don't take repeat prescription on the phone and I have to make an appointment to see a doctor. I ask for the next available appointment, I was then told to call tomorrow. I told the receptionist that every time I phone for an appointment I am not guaranteed an appointment within 2 weeks and I have only 2 metformin tables left and I am diabetic and can not go for long period within my meds. She then told me I just have to keep tying every day for an appointment. SMH! I sometimes have to go to A&E when |I can't get an appointment at ST Giles for my medical conditions.
