I cannot remember the last time I was able to successfully book an appointment to see my GP (maybe over a year ago). I have suffered and been in pain rather than go through the highly frustrating process of attempting to contact them. When I have eventually gotten through all the appointments are gone usually because you have been on hold for ages, you get told to call back the next at 8am (they do not seem to appreciate this is difficult to manage if you are commuting or at work, this also assumes that you can predict whether you will become ill at any time after 8am). You get asked if it is urgent when you are not medically qualified to know what is considered "urgent". The implication seems to be if it is not "urgent" do not bother them, if you are concerned about something that may be possibly require treatment, try calling another day.
They do not allow me to book online and refused to give a pin code to allow me to register for the online service.
I eventually got seen on an emergency appointment at another clinic to be told that if my symptoms continued to not wait and go back to my GP as soon as possible. I tried to go back to my GP to no avail, after complaining they gave me an appointment for two weeks from now. I have no faith in this surgery, they try their hardest not to give you an appointment at all. |
