Always was appalling surgery gradually gone downhill not effecient reception not intentive lack empathy as for practice manager what does he do exactly? How can you not have someone on site for blood tests not acceptable was told don't know when you can book blood test what reply? Thought practice care patients? Even when this mystery nurse appears from hosp to take blood can be week to two weeks wait truly appalling not acceptable. Why can't one of the staff be trained up to do bloods. Not everyone elder disabilities pain no transport can get hosp on two buses blood test. Also still appalling making phone call and having hear sermon from practice manager about services on my call expense I want appt not semon. Also what response to a patient when they said on review cost them hefty price phone call response practice manager was change Yr provider nice lol you need to sort yourself out with free phone call to surgery not having to listen sermon you need cut that out go straight throughreception. Obviously too many patients still take on more yet ones loyal been surgery from day one get worst treatment. We know reception has their favourites same as doctors taking more time care with certain patients while we sit like fool with appt time running over at times 15 to 30 mins maybe more not always emergency don't use that as an excuse. I know exactly what's going on Reply from Fulwell Cross Medical Centre Wed, 26 Jun 2019 11:07:56 +0100 The phlebotomy service is not run by the surgery it is an outreach clinic from King George Hospital, if you have a complaint about this clinic, I would suggest you contact them. You always have the option of going to the hospital and waiting there for a few hours. I am afraid you also do not know "exactly what is going on" a doctors appointment is for 10 minutes, they do not know how long a patient will take until they start taking the history, a 10 minute appointment can easily run in to 30 minutes causing delays for other patients. No doctor wants to run late, why would they, it would only cause them to have a long day and get home late. | ||||||

I tried to make an appointment today, waited one and a half hours on the call queue ,then told by a receptionist that all the appointments had gone for today. The next suggestion was to ring the out of hours practice if urgent after 2pm, or to call again tomorrow!
I queried this system of making patients wait in the chain of call queues for an hour and a half only to be told they have no plans to change it. I explained I didn't want to wait another hour an half this afternoon either.... and maybe to review their booking system.
It is unacceptable to make people wait in call queues , especially when they are in full time employment and have to get to work.
Tried to contact the practice manager but could not find a contact email or number to do so on the home page . When I tried to go through the reception to get his contact details -I was placed , yes, in another call queue !!
I am extremely disappointed with the appointment booking system . There are ample staff in reception to deal with calls and yet patients call queues take this long.
I would welcome an opportunity to discuss this further | ||||||
