I’m not usually one to write reviews, but like they say, give credit where it’s due.
I’ve been with GMC for approximately 15 years and they have served me well. I joined this practice after leaving my a Practice that was extremely unprofessional. GMC listen to my queries with great concern and offer me care that fits my individual needs where necessary. You’re greeted by friendly reception and attentive Doctors. One GP is my personal request when it comes to more serious and female issues. Recently, she referred me to a private clinic (which had personal professional ties) for an ongoing issue I had. However, when I checked the reviews of where I was referred, it had bad reviews and complaints. I cancelled my appointment and went to see her regarding this. She reassured me and spoke of it in a better light. She offered me an additional clinic but I stuck to the original. I’m glad I did!! They were fast, friendly and professional, I was treated with respect and dignity.
GMC professional has always given me what I need and has respected my opinion. I think this is important when dealing with needs and expectations. I would recommend this Practice. |

I recently called up at 8am in the morning to book an appointment for a medication review, this was booked in and I was advised I would be seeing a nurse prescriber, and I specifically checked on the phone that they could issue prescriptions which I was informed they could. I arrived at the Greenwood Avenue surgery for my 9.40am morning appointment, I wasn't seen until after 10am, only to be told by the nurse that she can't issue prescriptions and I shouldn't have been booked in with her, she was very apologetic about this and did also apologise for the delay in appointment. However this isn't the first time my appointment has ran late, I often have to go to work straight after and end up feeling rushed and being late. Appointments should only be delayed in the cases of emergencies, and patients should be advised of any delays when they arrive so they know what is happening. As I was booked in with the wrong practitioner on this occasion it has now meant I've had to make a separate appointment with the GP, it is hard for me to book appointments as it is due to working full-time. I understand that the NHS is overstretched however the above issues need to be resolved as it will only become more overstretched in the long run if not. I have successfully finished the course of B12, i must say the nurse is very good, polite, bubbly and talented, i didn't even feel once her giving injection, very soft hand. other nurses needs to work on their attitude. phone lines has improved a lot. :) Reply from Greengate Medical Centre Wed, 24 Jul 2019 09:58:10 +0100 Dear Sir, Thank you for your positive feedback....
