I would like to show my appreciation to the staff and in particular my GP at Chiswick Health Centre. I have been waiting for a Sleeve Gastrectomy operation to be carried out by the Bariatrics surgeons at St Mary's Hospital in London and have so far waited over a year and was told by the Bariatrics Co-Ordinator it could be another 12 to 18 months before I can have surgery which may be all well and good but I have chronic Arthritis in my right knee which needs to be replaced as a matter of urgency but because I'm somewhat overweight the Orthopedics team at Charing Cross Hospital told me they will not be able to do a knee replacement which is why my GP referred me to the Bariatrics team. Baring in mind my knee which leaves me in constant severe pain my GP very kindly sent emails to the Bariatrics team to see if they can speed up the process a bit, Following my last visit to my GP I had a call from the Bariatrics department to tell me my surgery will be done in 7 months time being January 2020. This is why if it wasn't for my GP I would probably still not have a date for my surgery whilst my knee continues to worsen by the day and this is why I wish to pass on my deepest appreciation for the help as I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and its getting closer rather than getting further and further away. |

I have been registered at this practice for at least five years and always been very satisfied with the service, but it is in the past few months that I have had to visit regularly that I have seen how really excellent this practice is. The GPs here have seen me through an extremely difficult time with genuine care and compassion; they are helpful and understanding while remaining ever professional. The GPs I see here have gone above and beyond to do all they can to support me and provide the highest level of medical care. My appointments are never rushed, I’m always treated as an individual and my needs are discussed with me collaboratively and respectfully.
The nurses I have met have always been friendly and professional. The reception staff can be slightly hit and miss but are always more knowledgeable and friendly than the majority of NHS hospital receptionists I have dealt with. Usually appointments can be made the same week as requested and there are always same-day appointments available for emergencies. Their systems aren’t always reliable or efficient, which always seems to be a problem in the NHS, but I have only ever had very minor problems here that are easily rectified. The building itself is slightly gloomy and rundown, but always clean and certainly not unwelcoming. It is a large practice, there are several GPs and some do come and go; I specifically request the two/three I know and my request is always fulfilled, although occasionally I have to wait slightly longer for an appointment.
Overall, this an outstanding GP practice, definitely the best I have attended. |
