I felt I wanted to add this review because I can see there are a lot of negative ones. I suspect this is due to the extremely busy phone lines which can sometimes leave people waiting for 21 in the queue. However this is not the only doctor surgery that suffers from this office from this (though admittedly it is a particularly bad example) and, it’s certainly is not the on-site staffs fault. It is an issue which should be looked at and more telephone operators are required but that’s a separate issue. So I just wanted to say that since my mother became ill I’ve spoken to 8 or 9 members of staff for over a period of 6 to 8 months. I have been incredibly impressed with the consistency, caring and courtesy I have received from each person. This includes medical staff and practitioners. I treat them with courtesy and they return the same. I would recommend the surgery to anyone if they need medical attention or support. I repeat again the phone lines are a different issue. I’m sure people get very frustrated and start shouting when they finally get through. However I would say it was worth the wait. |

I usually manage to get an appointment using the online service.
Sometimes the doctor calls me at a prebooked time to discuss my tests. I find this very good as it means i do not have to take time off work and i get to speak to a doctor
the reception staff do try and help me when they can. i like to see the specialist nurses as they have more time to spend with me and i can usually see them the same day when i am not feeling well |

Me and my family have been patients of oak lodge medical centre since 2001 when we moved into Colindale. Back then the staff were great, really friendly, approachable, caring, you could always ring up and get an appointment and actually talk to somebody. I don’t think it’s fair to say covid is the reason why this surgeries reviews has gone down, from 2018 onwards the receptionists are rude, uncouth, impolite, and the unhelpful they come across like they do not want to be there and the receptionist manager an Asian lady was very impolite and just downright rude to my mother who like I said we’ve been patients at this surgery for the past 21 years. Gone are the good caring receptionists and Doctors such as Dr Beeney, Dr Bernard, Dr Majid. Dr sangrapillai is still there and still helpful when you are able to get an appointment but this surgery is in good need of a better reception team and some maintenance. |
